Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.

Health officials alerted that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
